Normally I try to reduce the glare when I take a photograph. But this time I tried to get the glare so you could get the full effect of the vinyl.
He is a little mosquito, perfect to welcome spring. Mason just walked in the room complaining he got a mosquito bite on his wrist. I swear this guy didn't do it.

Springtime
Still ignoring the twins playhouse.
It is spring weather here in Memphis this weekend. So why not embroider something for spring. You can't see it very well but the snail is under clear vinyl giving it a glass jar effect.
The worm has his a jar of his own. The jars look better in person. Yes they can be washed and dried without hurting the vinyl. David and Mason went to a movie. I am headed back to the craft room to see how much more damage I can do today.

More fun
I would have liked to got more done on the theater wall for the playhouse.
Pretty unexciting progress. Got the backing sewn on and stop stitched, the opening for the theater is cut. The curtain is ready. Took the easy way out and printed the numbers for the sign on the computer. Made a little pocket from clear vinyl to hold all the numbers. Still need to sew the binding around the threater opening.
I got side tracked embroidering towels.
They were much more fun than working on the playhouse.

House Party?
Every now and then I run across a website that makes me wonder why I didn't think of that. Here is one of those sites I just had to share with you.
House Party I am not sure I could do an explanation justice so I will get the text right from them.
What is a House Party™?

(Check out some of our recent events.)
You host. Everyone wins. House Party lets you share the stuff you like with the people you like, through a fantastic, free party experience. What's the catch? There is none: Our partners understand that if they share something good with the right people in a fun way, we'll all help spread the word.
What's inside the party packs?

Puppets?
I did go sew a bit after my lunch break. Forgot to take a photo. Got stuck with the banner for the Theater. It says "Next Show At", can't figure out how I want to do the numbers.
So do you think I should make them finger puppets?
Or hand puppets to go with the theater?

Lunch Break
Thought I better take a lunch break while I had a stopping point.
The 4 base walls and all the ties are sewn for the twins play house. And I am making great progress on the Theater wall. The rectangle is the placement of the window. There was quite a discussion if it should be theater or theatre, I won't tell you who won.

Can You Tell?
Can you tell I have been feeling better?
A little embroidered in the hoop scissor holder. It has been on my list for quite a while to make another one of these. I can now mark that off my list.
I might even start the twins card table play house tomorrow.
More Trouble
I am probably going to get in more trouble today.
My Grandmother's name is Phoebe and I am sure someone will rat me out that I put her name on a dog leash. Unfortunately one of the ladies that works for me has a dog named Phoebe. You can't tell but my friend will know that it is University of Memphis fabric. Another friend has a new baby named Levi, the bib and burp cloth were made a long time ago.
And I missed a grandkids name when I made the card table play house. So Maille got an evelope with her name and a sign too.
David put some scifi movie on to run me out of the living room. Back to the craft room it will be.
Comfort Pillow
Looking for a simple project that takes less than a hour to complete?
Connecting Threads has some great free patterns and tutorials. This Pink Ribbon Comfort Pillow took me less than 45 minutes start to finish.
Trouble
Stepping away from the bag worked out for the best. I like the size and shape of it now.
Left it the original size. Just added snaps on the sides, it took in a 5 inches and gave it a much better shape.
The snaps can be easily opened and give access to a very roomy bag. I am going to be in big trouble when my mom sees the 8 pockets on the inside of this bag and wonder why I never did that to any of her bags.
