The woman cutting them said she just marked them down this morning. $1.95/yard. I haven't seen fabric that low in a long time. Correction, I haven't seen fabric that low that I would buy in a long time.

The browns for the wedding quilt. And the frogs for another pair of pants for me.
Surgery in the morning, wish me well.

More Recycled Sweaters

Better Homes and Garden has instructions for a recycled sweater throw on their website.
The serger would make quick work of those seams. Guess I will have to hunt through the old clothes boxes to see what I have available.

Recycled Sweater Mittens

My sister mentioned mittens made from recycled sweaters this week. I knew I had seen some them in the past. I found this video a while back. The pattern is on the same page towards the bottom.
Would be great with the serger.

I doubt I have any wool sweaters in my recycled clothing boxes. Wonder how cotton or acrylic would work.

Lounging

Decided it was time to make some new smaller lounge pants. I can pull up my old ones over my chest. Not a real flattering look. Cute piping detail on the pockets of the new ones.

Gallbladder surgery scheduled for next Friday. So having lounge pants that fit is essential for quicker recovery.

Recycled a couple T-shirts into T-shirt yarn. Nope I am not going to learn how to crochet they are going to my mom. She will have to figure out what to do with them.

Picking

I have started picking up fabrics for a quilt for my nephews wedding.

These are what I have come up with so far. Now that I look at them from a distance I don't like the lightest green or tan.

And I have a couple more browns from my moms stash that she made her quilt from. Might be fun to incorporate those also.
I was originally looking for camo prints and couldn't find what I wanted.

Paula Deens

There was a car show and drifting contest in Tunica over the weekend.

Mason had never been to Paula Deens buffet. He was quite impressed and quite full when we left.

Anger Mgmt

Another t shirt make over.

Much nicer neckline. I may have a whole new wardrobe when I am done.
The dress form wiggles like a toddler when I try to dress her.

Twins

Does she look like me?

David bought it for my birthday this week.
Been a rough couple of weeks trying to figure out why I got so sick suddenly. Narrowed it down to gallbladder. Another 12 days of suffering before I can even see the surgeon.
Feeling a bit better this morning so am trying to do some sewing.
