Here are a couple more of the lunch sacks I have been working on. Love the girly fabric. My sister's birthday is in a few weeks I think I may just have to send her one. Debating if I should add a handle to the design. It might be more practical.

Trick or Treat Goodie Bag
So I was a little late getting home last night. David called me to find out what happened to me. I guess he was concerned I broke down in his truck and was stranded somewhere. Don't you think I would have called if I was stranded. Anyway I stopped by a friends house and pick up some fabric to make a trick or treat back for one of the munchkins in her family.
I didn't get very far last night I had this great idea to add some boa feathery trim to the top edge but I didn't have any. So off to the fabric store at lunch today to get a few accessories to finish this. I was so bad last night I was dreaming about this bag.

Free Motion and Tired Hands
I think free motion quilting is my new obsession. Although I do understand why everyone suggested getting quilting gloves. My poor fingers are extremely tired from moving the quilt around. And this was just a mini, not even baby sized quilt. I doubt that it is more than 30 x 45 inches. But wow as it alot of fun. I can't wait to put the binding on it and throw it into the washer and dryer and see how much more it puckers.
Kim must have been amazed because as I was working on this she asked if I would teach her how to quilt. I see many more free motion quilting projects in my future.

More Lunch Sacks
Belts and Key Chains
Quilt top
The mini quilt top is from the 5x5 fabric square swap I did on Swap-bot.com. My swapper coordinated all of her squares. They are absolutely gorgeous. David thinks it will make a great quilt for Buttercup our long haired Chihauhua but I think it is too cute to give up.
I think it is the perfect size for me to practice for free motion machine quilting. I will have to let you know how that goes.
Abby the Puppy
Abby is Kim's new Build-A-Bear puppy. After Kim left for school this morning this is what I found on her bed. For a teenage girl that rarely remembers deodorant or to brush her teeth the puppy was stucked in quite neatly. You can't see it but she has on a tank top and plaid capris, which is actually one of Kim's favorite outfits. I have a feeling this puppy will be seen quite often around the house.
Adoption Finalization
It has been one long year but we finalized Kim's adoption yesterday. The Judge told me I could sit in his seat but you see who is actually sitting there. I remembered to bring my camera and even charged the battery but what I didn't check was to see if my memory card was there. Kim borrowed my camera over the weekend and the memory card didn't make it back into the camera.
We took Kim to Build a Bear, she now has a stuffed puppy with her adoption date as it's birthdate. Then we went to the hibachi grill at Stix. Again a new experience for Kim. Overall it was a good day. Hopefully things can settle down for all of us now.

Doggie Lunch Sacks
The lunch sacks turned out kinda cute. The small one isn't practical at all for lunch. At least not lunch for anyone in my family. I play pokeno on Friday night with my girl friends. I think I will put a gift card in the small bag as my gift. The larger bag I plan on sending to one of the girls in Kansas City that I talk to at work all the time. The bag was quite easy to make and I have fabric for several more. Next time I promise to get a better picture, but what do you expect I was talking on the phone while taking it and trying to avoid getting the dirty dishes in the background.

No Photos
I don't have photos to post today. But I did finish the top stitching on the bibs. Since I only had 10 snaps that matched I will be keeping two bibs and giving April the other 10 for her boy. The two might be handy to have around to keep as random gifts. I did get some of the panels cut out for the lunch sacks. I must post a photo of the fabrics. Very cute doggie prints, some paw prints, dog houses and small dogs.

Lunch Sack
I bought a pack of 5 fat quarters today at lunch time. Well I just had to use my 50% off Michaels coupon, can't let that go to waste. I found this Lunch Sack project pattern online last night. Hopefully I will have time to cut them out tonight. Doubt that I will get to the sewing machine but I should be able to find a pair of scissors and get them ready for a quick sew.
Bib Pattern
Free bib pattern
Quick and easy bib. I must give Chickpea Sewing credit for her pattern.
And I forgot to mention I used some left over flannel for the back of the bibs. I thought that would feel good to the little bib users.

First Quilt
We had a bunch of left over flannel from making lounge pants. I decided since they were such a wide variety of patterns it would be fun to make a quilt. So this is my first attempt at a quilt. It is a little smaller than a baby blanket size. I actually think I am going to put it in my hatch to keep the carpet clean. Well at least that was the plan before the kid hit my car last week and now I can't open the hatch. But as soon as my car is fixed I will use it as a mat for the hatch. Oh and by the way it is very soft and snuggly.

Home Sweet Home
Home hasn't been a place of peace and quietly lately. More drama than I care to share. When the teenagers all head off to college it might be home sweet home again.

Black and White Ball Dress
Kim is sewing the black lace dress for the Black and White Ball coming up in November. The black lace she choose has a smaller floral pattern. She learns more each time she sews something. Although I get exhausted through the process.

Stampin' Up!
It has been almost two years since I stopped being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. Hard to believe the two years have passed by so quickly. I miss the creative outlet that stamping brought to my life. But it has also been a bit liberating knowing I could venture out into other stamping products and craft merchandise without the pressure to purchase and use only Stampin' Up! items.
Have I thought about returning to Stampin' Up!? Yes many times. But then I realize now is not the time or place in my life to travel down that road again.

Craft Websites of Interest
I found a couple websites that may be of interest to crafters of all kinds.
http://www.etsy.com/ to sell handmade items. Also great forum for idea gathering.
http://www.swap-bot.com/ brings me back to my days of card swaping with SU.

The Lost Weekend
Did I have a 3 day weekend? I don't recall. Actually I did get quite a bit accomplished just nothing done that I really wanted for fun. The last few tiles got put up in the bathroom and the whole shower surround was grouted. Helped David mow the back and side yards. And took the kids to the Delta Fair. The weekend was gone in a flash.
Big craft fair in town this coming weekend. I think I need to go just for some creative inspiration.
