No work building the play house today. My Christmas gift from David. It is a mahogany spice cabinet we found at the antique mall last weekend. I kind of knew he was going back to get it. I can't wait to load up the little drawers. I took some time to sort out the buttons my mother and grandmother gave me. I kept looking for specific buttons and now I will be able to find them easily. In the buttons I found some wooden beads that I could use for the necklaces my mother crocheted. I really like the look of these. I haven't been able to find beads I liked and will probably make some out of sculpy clay to get what I want. But the wooden beads will work for a few of them.
Still wishing for snow tonight but it isn't looking too promising. Hope you have a Merry Christmas.

That cabinet is truly memorizing and what a beautiful gift! That crocheted necklace is lovely, and what a great way to add a nice touch to it by adding a bead. I wonder whether you can do that by knitting too? Ana Goncalves from the End of year Blog Comment Swap on Swap-bot. Have a really nice New Year.
ReplyDeleteI REALLY like the crocheted necklace! So fun! AND, I'm jealous that you've got all your buttons sorted...I've been meaning to organize mine forever, it seems. Maybe it'll be a New Year's resolution of mine!

What a gorgeous piece of furniture. I have something sort of similar in my house and I love to reorganize the little drawers.
