Blogger was giving me grief uploading photos, hence the numerous posts.
Here is the new serger. We became friends this morning.
Serged a rolled edge on some woven fabric making four 18x18 inch napkins. These were so simple to make. I did get some fray check yesterday. It is recommended that you use it for the cut threads. Really odd getting used to the serger and keeping an eye on the cutting blade instead of the needle.
After three years of faithful service David's old fleece blanket has been retired. This is his new one. Fleece on one side and flannel on the other. It is officially Buttercup approved.
Enjoy your new toy; I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it! Sounds like you got a GREAT deal on it!
ReplyDeleteI've had a serger for (ahem) five years. Still new in the box. I haven't used it yet. SHHHHHHH.
