The quilt top is finished. 2534 little pieces.



Now I have to make a decision. Hand quilt or turn it over to a long arm quilter. Need a find a long arm quilter and get a quite by the end of the week.

It actually looks pretty nice on my new bed. Hmmm. I could always just give cash as a wedding gift.

Half

Half of the double wedding ring quilt is sewn together.


Feels good to finally make some significant progress.


I still need to sew all the connecting corners. But I am seeing and end in sight.

It looks huge. I laid it out on my queen bed and it is just right.

Ready, Set, Sew...

Almost unpacked. Things are out of boxes but not organized in the slightest.


Sewing machine us plugged in and threaded. Got to make some progress on the double wedding ring quilt.

Going to talk to local quilt shop this weekend. Need to know what my deadline is to turn it over to a long arm quilter to get back by the wedding.

Looks Like

I am a novice when it comes to Iowa weather. But this sure looks like more than an inch of snow.


I put Mason to work shoveling the driveway. One of my new neighbors was nice enough to use his snow blower on the front sidewalk.


Still living out of the hotel until my belongings arrive. Crossing fingers that should be tomorrow (Tuesday).

Day Dreaming

I have been staying busy with a little cross stitch project that I brought from my stash in Tennessee. I will show more of that later. I did a little day dreaming on Etsy last night. Here are a few of my finds.

 Replacing my 25 year old blue Tupperware plastic canisters with these would be dreamy.

 Why put out a Welcome sign when I can put out a Go Away.

 I can't change the lighting in the house but wouldn't this be cool.

I get to decorate the house in Iowa without any influence from David. What do you think the primary color might be.

Bright Spot

I have been living out of the hotel room for about 2 1/2 weeks now. I am so ready to get into the house. And into a routine again.




David forwarded me the mini quilt from my swap bot partner. It was a nice bright stop in the middle of the cold and snow in Iowa.

New job is going good. They are much more structured than my last company.
