Lunch Sack

I bought a pack of 5 fat quarters today at lunch time. Well I just had to use my 50% off Michaels coupon, can't let that go to waste. I found this Lunch Sack project pattern online last night. Hopefully I will have time to cut them out tonight. Doubt that I will get to the sewing machine but I should be able to find a pair of scissors and get them ready for a quick sew.

Bib Pattern

Free bib pattern

Quick and easy bib. I must give Chickpea Sewing credit for her pattern.

And I forgot to mention I used some left over flannel for the back of the bibs. I thought that would feel good to the little bib users.

First Quilt

We had a bunch of left over flannel from making lounge pants. I decided since they were such a wide variety of patterns it would be fun to make a quilt. So this is my first attempt at a quilt. It is a little smaller than a baby blanket size. I actually think I am going to put it in my hatch to keep the carpet clean. Well at least that was the plan before the kid hit my car last week and now I can't open the hatch. But as soon as my car is fixed I will use it as a mat for the hatch. Oh and by the way it is very soft and snuggly.

It's a Boy

One of my friends at work is having a baby boy in January so I have made her a dozen blue bibs. I still want to do a bit of decorative stitching on the edge but they are basically done. See I have been busy even though I haven't posted as much as I have wanted.

Home Sweet Home

Home hasn't been a place of peace and quietly lately. More drama than I care to share. When the teenagers all head off to college it might be home sweet home again.

Black and White Ball Dress

Kim is sewing the black lace dress for the Black and White Ball coming up in November. The black lace she choose has a smaller floral pattern. She learns more each time she sews something. Although I get exhausted through the process.

Stampin' Up!

It has been almost two years since I stopped being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. Hard to believe the two years have passed by so quickly. I miss the creative outlet that stamping brought to my life. But it has also been a bit liberating knowing I could venture out into other stamping products and craft merchandise without the pressure to purchase and use only Stampin' Up! items.
Have I thought about returning to Stampin' Up!? Yes many times. But then I realize now is not the time or place in my life to travel down that road again.

Craft Websites of Interest

I found a couple websites that may be of interest to crafters of all kinds.

http://www.etsy.com/ to sell handmade items. Also great forum for idea gathering.

http://www.swap-bot.com/ brings me back to my days of card swaping with SU.

The Lost Weekend

Did I have a 3 day weekend? I don't recall. Actually I did get quite a bit accomplished just nothing done that I really wanted for fun. The last few tiles got put up in the bathroom and the whole shower surround was grouted. Helped David mow the back and side yards. And took the kids to the Delta Fair. The weekend was gone in a flash.

Big craft fair in town this coming weekend. I think I need to go just for some creative inspiration.
